The FleetYield Alternative That Counts What the Car Cost You to Own.
FleetYield turns your Turo CSV into profit per trip. Fleconomy IQ starts from the same file and keeps going: the value each car lost, the interest on its loan, and every cost line, so the number at the bottom is what the car really earned.
FleetYield is a good, cheap way to see trip profit fast, and it was built by hosts. The question this page answers is narrower: when you want to know whether a car was worth owning, what does each tool count? Here is what we found, checked on their site in October 2026.

Why "Net Profit" Can Still Flatter a Car
The Car Loses Value Every Month
A car that books well can still lose more value than it earns. If the profit number leaves that out, the car looks like a winner right up until you sell it. Fleconomy shows the value lost as its own line, per car.
A Loan Payment Is Not One Cost
Part of each payment is interest, which is a cost. The rest pays down the loan, which is not. Counting the whole payment makes a financed car look worse than it is. Counting none of it makes it look better.
The File Has a Shape
Fleconomy exports a Schedule C and Form 4562 summary, with the car's dates and costs your CPA needs. Not sure what to bring? Get the free CPA hand-off checklist.
Cheaper Is Fine, If It Is Enough
If you only want trip profit, FleetYield costs less, and that is a fair choice. Fleconomy is free for one car, so you can load the same CSV and compare the two numbers before paying either.
The Difference You Cannot See in a Feature List
Both tools will show you a profit number for each car. A feature list can't tell you what happens when some of the data is missing, or which kind of depreciation went into the number. Fleconomy publishes the rules it follows, each with the test that enforces it.
Your Write-Off Is Not Your Car’s Value
Bonus and §179 deduct the whole car in year one. So a tool that uses the tax figure to answer “was it worth it” shows a loss that never happened. And it is most wrong for the hosts who filed most correctly.
A Blank Beats a Guess
If the car's market value was never recorded, there is no economic profit. We do not fill in a likely number. Once it is on the screen, a guess looks just like a measured number.
All fifteen rules, each with the test that enforces it: fleconomyiq.com/receipts. These are our own tests, not a third-party audit — they prove each rule is in the code, not that any number is right for you.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between FleetYield and Fleconomy?
Both read your Turo earnings CSV and show profit for each car. Fleconomy also takes off the value each car lost, counts only the interest on a car loan as a cost, and keeps your tax write-off apart from the car's real value. That is the difference between what a car earned and what it was worth owning.
Why does depreciation change the profit number?
A car loses value every month you own it, whether or not it is booked. A profit figure that leaves that out can show a car as a winner when it barely paid for the value it lost. Fleconomy shows that loss as its own line, so you can see it.
Is FleetYield cheaper?
FleetYield listed $19 a month after a 14-day trial when we checked in October 2026. Fleconomy is free for one car, and paid plans start at $35 a month for up to 3 cars. If you only need trip profit, the cheaper tool may be enough. If you need the car's true cost and a file for your CPA, compare what each one leaves out.
Can I use both?
Yes. Both work from the same Turo earnings export, so nothing stops you from loading it into each and comparing the numbers side by side.
